Today is the anniversary of one of the most dramatic battles of the 128th brigade, which took place at an altitude of 307.5 near the village of Sanzharivka, on one of the key pillars of the Debaltsevo bridgehead called "Valera".
Back in 2015 this day, in the snowy Donetsk region, the soldiers of the 128th brigade, together with the soldiers of the 54th scout unit, put up hellish resistance to the invaders from the "August" battalion of the 2nd corps of the Russian Armed Forces. 5 enemy T64 and T72 tanks were advancing on the position. As a result of a fierce battle, 3 enemy tanks were destroyed along with their crews, one tank was knocked out and one tank escaped. Also, one soldier of the Russian Federation was captured.
The position was not defeated, but seven Ukrainian soldiers of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade and two servicemen of the 54th reconnaissance battalion were killed that day.
This legendary battle went down in history as one of the fiercest battles against the invaders, it was described in numerous articles and videos. The documentary "Height 307.5" is dedicated to him separately (in UKR):
